Polygons identifying areas of outstanding natural landscape. These features determine the shape and form of the land, and are the natural, as opposed to human, components of the landscape character of the district. These outstanding natural features and landscapes are recognised and protected. The extent of this policy layer originated from a Boffa Miskel Landscape study when drafting the current plan. Limitations of the dataset are unknown, further information may be outlined in the report for technical specification.
The Waikato District Council District Plan is has been produced under the Resource Management Act 1991, and has been distributed to allow better public access to the data underlying the Plan.
